Groundwork
Evolution
Early on in the story, Louis was meant to be so cowardly, phobic, and timid that even frogs can frighten him. Somewhen, however, directors John Musker and Ron Clements changed the character into what is seen today.

In earlier stages of the pic, Louis' design was in the "cartoony" variety, equally Goldberg states, and was seen with a slightly thinner trunk, more human-like features, and a pair of glasses; this echoes the original concept of Louis existence a homo turned into a gator past Dr. Facilier. Personality

As they balance, Louis bonds with his three new companions, and comes to support Tiana and Naveen as lovers. During the bonding, nonetheless, the gang is attacked by a hoard of shadow demons, sent by Dr. Facilier, to kidnap Naveen. Louis, Tiana, and Ray chase afterwards Naveen until a mysterious existence arrives and defeats the shadowy creatures with ease. Ray is able to see his friends one last time before peacefully passing away thanks to Louis. The heartbroken trio attends Ray'southward funeral along with his Firefly Family to bid a terminal good day, and Louis plays a sad theme on his trumpet as Ray's body is pushed away in a leaf with flowers into the bayou.
